Wuxi is an old industrial city in the Jiandsu Province is China. Long ago this city was popular for its tin deposits and later on it became popular for the lack of tin deposits. But throughout its history Wuxi has always been popular for the Wu Culture, a popular clan culture in China.


It was during the latter part of the Shang Dynasty that this culture emerged in Wuxi. Initiated by the eldest offspring of the Emperor Zhou Tai, Taibo, who renounced the throne to move to Wuxi to fashion this culture, the Wu Culture there onwards expanded so rapidly that according to the records held by China's Wu Lineage Genealogy, the Wu Clan Descendents have exceeded 40 million and these Wu Clan Descendents can be found in China as well as in other countries of the world.
